Lemaksal began with a simple idea: bring the bold, comforting flavours of Malaysia and the Philippines to London. This is how it came to be.

The Beginning
Lemaksal was founded in Tooting with a dream to share our favourite Southeast Asian dishes — the food we grew up on, made for everyone.
2022
Growing Together
Overwhelmed by your support, we expanded our team and perfected our menu — slow-cooking sambal in six-hour batches and never looking back.
2023
Our Community
We became more than a restaurant — we became a place where memories are made, catering weddings, offices and the gatherings that matter.
